Job Responsibilities:

1. Participate in the development of the overall operation and maintenance system, write operation and maintenance scripts and interface programs to enable automation.

2. Participate in the design and development of operation and maintenance automation systems, tools and their visualization systems (such as deployment systems, infrastructure management, environmental management, and other systems).

3. Research and use forward-looking open source technology to improve O&M efficiency.

Job Prerequisites:

1. Bachelor degree or above, computer or related major, more than 5 years of relevant work experience.

2. Proficiency in the management and maintenance of Linux operating system.

3. Experience with automation using shell scripts and Ansible.

4. Familiarity with Docker and related container technologies.

5. Have a working knowledge of cluster orchestration platforms (Docker Swarm and Kubernetes).

6. Experience with CI systems (Gitlab CI/Github Actions/Circle CI/Jenkins).

7. Proficiency in Python application development, familiar with Python Web framework (Flask/Fastapi/Django).

8. Able to self-drive, love technology, have strong self-motivated, good at exploring and studying.

9. Have good communication skills and a strong sense of responsibility.

Nice to have:

1. Understanding of cloud platforms AWS/Azure/Rackspace.

2. Skill with infrastructure-as-code toolkits Teraform/AWS CloudFormation/OpenShift Heat.

3. Basic knowledge of front-end web technologies (HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript) and frameworks (Vue/React/...).

4. Experience with Powershell and Windows Containers.

You will be part of a team having responsibility for the whole software development which supports our #Espressif flagship products #ESP32 and #ESP32S2.

Job Description:

This role will focus especially on our customisation of the Eclipse IDE (written in #Java). Most of our work on #Eclipse is in CDT (C/C++ plugins) particularly the CDT Core build system, CMake Integration, launch and debug infrastructure, indexer and scanner, code profiling functionality, etc.

You will participate in the open-source development of our Eclipse plugins. You will also have the opportunity to work on other areas of our Espressif IDF(#IoT Development Framework):

We are looking for applications from software engineers who meet the following requirements:

• Strong software engineering skills

• Strong experience of Java is essential

• Experience with Eclipse, and preferably CDT or other plugin development(SWT and JFace), is preferable

1. Develop test automation tools for embedded software.

2. Develop test plans and test cases based on the ESP SDK API.

3. Develop embedded test applications or test scripts for specific application.

4. Locate, report and track bugs, as well as work with developers to improve and refactor the code.

Requirements: 

1. Bachelor’s degree, or above, in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Communications Engineering, Automation or other related disciplines.

2. At least 3 years of automated testing experience.

3. Good working knowledge of C and Python programming languages.

4. Familiarity with testing frameworks, such as Unity.

5. Familiarity with protocols of TCP/IP, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth is a plus.

6. Experience with other scripting languages is a plus.

7. Good communication and ability to identify, report and then fix issues accordingly.

About this position:

Espressif is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer to develop applications and libraries for the ESP32 series of chips, and be engaged in support to the growing customer base. In this position, engineers have an opportunity to work on open source projects used by thousands of software developers around the world.

The ideal candidate for this position should have strong embedded software development skills, and familiarity with hardware communication protocols or network protocols. We are looking for individuals with analytical mindset and good skills in troubleshooting hardware and software issues.

Main Responsibilities:

1. Develop applications, libraries, and reference designs based on the ESP32 series of chips.

2. Work with the business support and SDK teams to deliver features requested by customers.

3. Help customers advance their progress on projects by offering technical support and helping them troubleshoot software issues.

4. Contribute to documentation such as application notes, tutorials and API guides.

The following skills are desired:

1. At least 3 years of relevant working experience in the field of Embedded Software.

2. Excellent knowledge of C or C++ languages.

3. Familiar with FreeRTOS or another RTOS.

4. Familiar with command line tools (Linux/Unix) and at least one scripting language (shell, Python, Powershell).

5. Experience with git version control system.

Any of the following would be a strong plus:

1. Knowledge of hardware communication protocols: SPI, UART, I2C, I2S, CAN.

2. Knowledge of network protocols, such as TLS, HTTPS, MQTT, COAP.

3. Knowledge of Bluetooth LE, GAP, GATT.

4. Knowledge of secure communication protocols and cryptography.
